A big thank you to all the app makers that uploaded their apps to the Amazon Appstore during the past month. The latest Amazon Appstore partnership offer has now closed.
The Amazon app partnership offer created some fantastic new app makers, and we are so excited to see the number of apps that have made it into the Amazon Appstore.
App makers from around the globe all rushed to join the incentive that was paying app makers $1 per app for the first 50 apps that they uploaded to Amazon. On top of the financial incentive, Amazon offered to give a free Kindle Fire to all app makers that successfully uploaded 25 or more apps.
If you have joined this program, then you will shortly be contacted by a member of the Amazon team to arrange your payment. Please remember that in order to qualify for the rewards, your apps need to be live for a minimum of three weeks. You will only receive notification of your reward after you have successfully completed all sections of the requirements.
Cross-selling is the secret to Amazon Appstore success
Amazon Appstore may seem like a baby in size in comparison to GooglePlay, but this app store sure makes up for its lack of size in other ways. The most important feature Amazon Appstore has over other Android app store competitors is its ability to cross-sell. Amazon is a worldwide online store with an existing audience of 244 million. Starting out as an online bookstore, the Amazon empire has expanded to include almost every consumer category you can think of, now including mobile apps. The technology behind the website’s search facility encourages cross-selling. This vastly enhances the ability for your app to reach a far wider audience than any other app store. A perfect start for new app makers.
Stay tuned for more Amazon deals that are planned for the near future.
