At Decoded Solutions, we’re great believers in charity beginning at home, and we’re keen to lend our support to a local charity who make a big difference. Having seen how wonderfully Autism Wessex are enhancing the lives of Dorset families, we’re delighted for them to be our very first charity of the year.

Touching the lives of 2.7 million people in the UK every day, autism affects 7500 people in the Dorset area alone. Without the right support, autism can have a profound – sometimes devastating – effect on individuals and families

Raising awareness about autism is all about talking and sharing experiences of how people are affected and how, with the right support, their lives can be enhanced. Autism Wessex has supported children, adults and families by providing specialist education, care and information services for the past 46 years. With more help, they can continue to create a better world for people living with autism. 

As a bespoke software development company with a love for innovative technology, we are excited to raise funds for specialist IT equipment for students at Portfield School to aid learning and communications. Going forwards we also plan to lend our support to fundraising for sensory equipment for adult residential homes, as well as helping to raise autism awareness within the local business community.

Our team has already enjoyed hosting a Big Brekkie, a World Cup themed event, and a PS4 FIFA tournament with Bournemouth businesses in aid of the Autism Wessex, and throughout the year we’ll be planning some fantastic events and challenges.

Decoded are so proud to be supporting such a superb Dorset charity, and we’re looking forward to playing a part in improving the lives of children and adults with autism.
