We’re very happy to confirm that MacUser Magazine, the UK’s preeminent technology magazine focused on Apple products, has awarded LiveCode 4.5.2 its coveted Editor’s Choice Award for scripting languages. We’re thrilled with the award, which recognizes the hard work we’ve put into the entire platform and ease in which developers can create iOS apps today.
Published in the January 2011 issue, the review sites LiveCode’s ease in software creation and building apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows, along with no licensing restrictions.
Reviewer Keith Martin states: “LiveCode is truly an unusal application. How do you categorise software that can let you do pretty much anything? In a nutshell, Runtime Revolution’s LiveCode makes it easy to create applications, using a plain-English scripting language and a DTP-like set of interface and graphics layout tools.”
For iOS developers, Martin points out: “Yes, you can create your own iPhone and iPad apps without sweating a single line of Objective C, and, yes, you can even submit these to be included in Apple’s App Store.”
