According to Wandoujia the Chinese market is predominantly freemium, with developers in the main relying on in-app purchasing for remuneration, yet the ecosystem is growing at a frightening pace.
A report from analytics experts Flurry back in August revealed the extent of this huge growth.
The number of active iOS and Android devices was 165m in the US, compared to 128m in China – but one suspects these figures may have gotten closer since then.
