The RunRev team go stateside this week as we sponsor two major tech conferences: MacTech Conference in LA and AnDevConII in San Francisco. Kevin Miller, RunRev CEO, and Ben Beaumont, LiveCode Product Manager flew out yesterday morning eager to meet other attendees, show off what LiveCode can do and get some great insight at the many sessions on offer between the two shows.
MacTech Conference – November 2 – 4
First up is the MacTech conference in L.A. Kevin and Ben arrived at the hotel yesterday afternoon and will be spending today getting ready for the conference itself tomorrow. The 3 day MacTech is synonymous with professional, world class apple development and we’re proud to sponsor the conference. Over 300 attendees, including some of the best known experts in the mac community, will watch while Kevin shows off what LiveCode can do. As well as getting to meet developers and network with other members of the Apple community, Kevin and Ben will be treated to some brilliant sessions in two tracks; the developer track and the IT track. Personally I’m really disappointed that I’ll be missing the session “The Press, and How To Humor Them” in which IT writer Andy Ihnatko promises to give away some trade secrets on how to get technology writers and influencers excited about your products. In “What the…? They Moved My Cheese!” Charles Edge will look at what he thinks is in store for Apple and how it affect developers on the ground. Hopefully Ben and Kevin will take some really good notes for me.

AnDevCon11 – November 6-9
After 3 days of learning, presenting and networking (not to mention flights and jet lag) you’d think that that Ben and Kevin would want some time off. RunRev staff are made of hardier stuff and when they finish in LA at the end of the week Kevin and Ben will fly up to San Francisco to get ready for AnDevCon11 next week. This is the second Android Developer Conference after the first one sold out in March, and again LiveCode are excited to be able to sponsor this event. Keynotes from Google, American Express, Motorola, Amazon and HTC are the sure to be the high points of the show and are expected to draw in about 800 people.
