New research from the Application Developers Alliance has revealed how much app developers can make compared to other flagship professions.

The infographic, put together by designers infogr8, showed that the average app developer earns $75,000 (£46,550) a year, is 33 years old and has at least two years’ experience in the job.

But how does that stack up to other careers? Even though there’s a huge amount of money in apps right now, with the market hitting $5bn (£3.1bn) in 2011, the results may be surprising.
