The start-up villages are back at Apps World this November, bigger and better than ever following its launch at the show last year and there is still the chance for you to get involved and apply for a space for your start up!
The start-up villages are standalone branded areas of the show that offer young start-up app businesses and entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their work for free as part of Apps World’s commitment to encourage new companies within the apps ecosystem.
Eligible start-up apps who apply and meet our criteria are given a free bar table with two bar stools, from which they can promote their work to press, fellow developers, potential investors and other Apps World visitors giving them a profile in the market that normally takes both money and time to build.
Last year we had around 40 start-ups — ranging from solo to self-employed developers and start-up businesses – exhibiting. This year we already have more than 60 confirmed despite having two months to go – their details will be online shortly. We do still have space for more though with Mobile Monday also running a start-up village at Apps World this year.
There’s still time to apply for a spot in this year’s Start Up Village – be quick though as these slots fill fast. Applications can be made online by clicking here and you can choose the zone that best suits your business. To quality you must be a new start-up app rather than agency or service and be less than a year old. Once you’ve applied we will get back to you to let you know if you’ve been successful – then it’s simply a case of sending in your logo, biography and deciding how to make the most of your free opportunity to exhibit at Apps World this November 12-13 at London’s ExCel.
And, as if that wasn’t enough, don’t forget entries for the Appsters are now open and include the Start-up App 2014 which includes a selection process whereby start-ups can publicise themselves and pitch to industry experts for feedback and advice with the winner decided by judges and an audience vote. Entries close soon so enter now at http://www.the-appsters.com/index.php/categories.
The Apps World start-up village offers the perfect chance to promote your business for free but is also a great place to stop by to see the new ideas and meet some of the brightest new talent in the industry. If you haven’t registered for a pass for the show then click here.
