Nginx (and the Web) gets faster – give thanks to ‘SPDY’
Nginx, the world’s third most popular web server, has just released version 1.4 supporting the speedy ‘SPDY’ protocol making the web faster, alongside a whole host of new features.
‘SPDY’ is the protocol advancing ‘HTTP’, which can help websites load up to 40 percent faster. This is particularly useful since it helps power some of the biggest name sites, including Facebook and Dropbox.
